Kenmare's corporate policies outline the Company's approach to responsible business practices. The policies are also available in Portuguese, the official language of Mozambique.

Kenmare is committed to upholding the highest possible ethical standards. All our activities are conducted in accordance with our core values: Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence (ICARE).

Kenmare accepts the scientific findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); supports the goals of the Paris Agreement; and acknowledges that business has a role to play in addressing climate change. In line with this position, we have set the ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2040 (Scope 1 & 2) and we will work to reduce emissions from operations as quickly as possible and offset emissions that are hard to abate.

At Kenmare, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset and that our future success depends on the team tasked with delivering the Company’s strategy. To deliver on our strategy, we require a skilled and engaged workforce, working as a team to achieve our shared vision.

Kenmare is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner. We will ensure sustainable stewardship of the environment within our sphere of influence by preventing, mitigating or offsetting the harmful effects of our activities. We hold ourselves and others involved in our activities to account for this.

Kenmare respects the right of all employees to freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining without interference and free from discrimination.

The health and safety of our employees and our host communities are Kenmare’s top priorities. As a company, we are committed to managing safety risks and maximising opportunities to enhance employee well-being.

At Kenmare, we are fully committed to respecting the human rights of all our stakeholders within our sphere of influence. We support the International Bill of Human Rights, including the UN Declaration of Human Rights; the International Labour Organisation’s Fundamental Conventions and Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work; and Part I, Chapter IV (Human Rights) of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

At Kenmare, we recognise that stakeholder engagement is an essential part of our business. We are committed to communicating transparently with our stakeholders as we understand that it contributes to the long-term sustainability of our business.

Kenmare has a zero tolerance to modern slavery and child labour. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We expect the same high standards from all our contractors and suppliers. We expect them to adopt the same zero tolerance approach to the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children. We expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same standards.
