Zircon is also used in refractory, foundry and chemical applications, which are essential to modern manufacturing.
In 2024, the zircon sand supply sector generated revenue of approximately $2.2 billion, with Europe and Asia being the largest markets. The product is then supplied to end-user markets generating annual revenue value that is many multiples of this.
