Q&A

When did you join Kenmare and which roles have you held during your time with the Company?

I joined Kenmare in September 2021 as Mine Manager and was promoted to Operations Manager in March 2023.

What training have you received through your role?

I participated in the Innership coaching programme and Full Role Delivery Programme, which focused on strengthening our leadership (safety, technical and people), as well as self-awareness and self-development. I was proud to be one of almost 200 Heads of Department, Superintendents and Supervisors at Moma who took part in these two programmes.

What has been the best moment during your time working for Kenmare?

I’m very pleased to see the increasing number of female employees at Moma, most especially with women taking up leadership positions as Head of Department, Superintendent and Supervisors and particularly in technical and operational departments. It makes me really proud to see emerging female talent in an environment that is generally perceived as being a tough for women.

Also witnessing the Long Service Awards in 2022 and 2024 was amazing. I’m so happy to be a part of a company that recognises the loyalty and dedication of its employees.

Which of KMAD’s community initiatives are you most proud of and why?

The new houses built for the Isoa village resettlement show that Kenmare really cares about uplifting the lives of the people in the community it operates in. The houses have all been painted differently to give them character and to make the new Isoa village a nice place to live and work.

What is your personal motto?

Hard work, dedication and speed of execution separates ordinary from extraordinary.

“I’m very pleased to see the increasing number of female employees at Moma, most especially with women taking up leadership positions in technical and operational departments.”
