Diesel

A diesel project was started during the first quarter of 2009 with a total of 18 members. A loan of US$5,200 was given to the group to start up the project.

The group organised the building of a fuel station in Tupuito village.

Members of the group participate actively in its management with regular meetings to organise purchasing, liaison with a local transporter, keeping records of sales and the fuel balance and keeping track of fluctuations in the market prices of the fuel. The group now has 7 active members.
