Kenmare Signs Rutile Sales Contract

Kenmare Resources plc, a natural resources exploration and mining group, announces that it has signed a multi-year off-take contract for the sale of a substantial portion of rutile from its Moma Titanium Minerals Project in Mozambique. The specific terms of this contract are confidential.

Rutile is a high quality titanium dioxide mineral used in the pigment, titanium metal and welding rod industries. Kenmare has now secured contracts for all of the zircon and a substantial portion of the ilmenite and rutile to be produced at Moma. First production from the Moma Titanium Minerals Project is expected in 2005.
