Kenmare Announces Increase in Expected Zircon Production

At the AGM today, Kenmare announced a doubling of the expected zircon output from its Moma Titanium Minerals Project.

A six month test work programme, performed by Roche Mining (M.T.), aimed at optimising the zircon circuit, has demonstrated an improved recovery. Volumes of Premium grade zircon are expected to increase from 24,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) to approximately 34,000 tpa. In addition, a further 15,000 tpa of Special Grade zircon will be produced.

Customers have already indicated strong interest in entering offtake arrangements covering this additional zircon.

Charles Carvill said

We are very pleased to have achieved this improvement in the expected zircon output. There is a strong demand for zircon and we expect to enter offtake contracts shortly."
